Surveying

One of the things Kaaterskill Associates does is land surveys.

Surveying

A few reasons you may need a survey are if you are considering any of the following:

  • Buying a piece of property.
  • Selling a piece of property.
  • Land disputes.
  • Renovations, including adding a second story, adding a new structure, putting in a road or altering the property.
  • Construction.

A survey is what the footprint of your house looks like on paper. It is also a legal document that defines property lines, which is necessary any time the property is changing hands and for many other reasons.

Most importantly a survey protects your property by clarifying what is legally yours.
